I can still vividly remember my childhood and how each year there would be a growing anticipation and impatience with which I awaited my birthday.   The agony of the wait lessened only slightly by deciding which little school–friends I may invite to my party and what games we’d play, wondering what special presents were in store for me this year, and of course watching mum decorate the cake with its lashings of rich, sticky chocolate icing.   The big event always seemed an interminable way away and the more eager I grew, the longer it seemed to take until the day was finally here.   And then, as reticent as it was in coming, the day was suddenly racing to be over, leaving me with another eternity to wait until next year.

These days I understand that time did not morph.   Time only felt so long during the wait because my young mind lacked the capacity to focus on more than one special event at a time, flitting from birthday to Christmas, then Easter and back to birthday again.   With big intervals in between.   By contrast, humanity today could be forgiven for reeling from the effects of special event overload, with our fast–paced lifestyles and global culture, where every day there seems to be something major happening on a personal, a national or a world stage — and more often than not, we hear about it.   The key is balance and choice.   Just as the traditions I uphold may be foreign to others, not everything will be a special event for me.   But it will be for somebody, somewhere in the world…

That’s part of what makes travel (even if it is only cyber–travel) such an interesting and appealing past–time.   We visit other lands, learn somewhat of their culture and revel in foreign festivities that are new to us.   And believe me, when you think you know of every special event there is to know, somebody will come along and create a new one!   The good thing about c D–Light™s is that they’re perfect, no matter what the special event is.   Engineered so that you can easily swap and change the inscapes, have your own custom design and thus flow with the events that are special in your life.

Capture those special events… Then remember them… c D–Light™…
