The Macquarie Dictionary included the following prophetic prediction in their third edition:

Bar /ba/noun

  1. a counter or a room where alcoholic drinks are served to customers, as in a wine bar
  2. a band or stripe, as in a bar of light

What they didn’t know at the time was that bars would undergo a lighting revolution, those dim cosy corners brilliantly lit by warm spots of colour — bars to drink lending themselves beautifully to the addition of bars of light.

The question now remains, what lights to choose?   Of course everybody has a different spin on this, a spin that’s as unique as the personalities of the people who own and who frequent these very drinking houses.   Here are just some of the ideas c D–Lights have been used for…

  • Bar Lighting.   So you’re lucky enough to have a home large enough to accomodate a bar.   Show it off to its best advantage.   Others will envy you.
  • Make those bottles shine like liquid gold.   Do it in style, with your own glowing custom message.
  • Not just to impress the visitors on the occasional party night, these LED bar signs look wickedly good all the time.
  • Trendy Bar Lights.   Funky, fashionable, futuristic.   The spirit of the new age.
  • Special, upmarket, inbuilt bar features for the Goldfinger or 007 among us, homeing beacons you’ll gravitate towards like glow–worms to the fire.
  • As irresistable gold bar lights — bathing your well–heeled martini in a glow of relaxation, shaken not stirred.
  • Private Poison Evil Inside Light.   Something to inspire you, give you pleasure.   Or a definite beware–of–the–pain warning to others.
  • Chill out man, with a Bar Kokomo counter light.   No monkey business here.   Only hot bar–tenders, hot beach babes and coconuts.
  • AFL Footy Bar LED Light.   No prizes for guessing who you barrack for.   And what you like to drink when you’re watchin’ the game.
  • Light up the Stubby Collection.   The two things you enjoy most on a Saturday afternoon — a stubby and cheering on your team.   The team don’t fit on the shelf with your stubby collection, but this light will.
  • Spotlight a collectors’ item, highlight a rare vintage drop, accentuate the cornucopia of appealing liqueuers on offer, or use them as superlative bar shelf LED lighting design features in their own right
  • Wine Cellar Mood Lighting.   Colourful.   Inviting.   These lights spell ‘Let me in — I want to party with you’.
  • Barrel Table Girl Lamp.   Give somebody a hint.   Intimate lighting for those passionate red moments?
  • No, you’re not hallucinating.   These wicked LED coasters actually do glow.   Vividly.   (Hands off — the ice–blue Vodka’s mine!)
  • Bundaberg Rum Polar Bear Light.   Tastes change.   Some things are just fantastic all the time.   Like Bundy and Rum.   Like c D–Lights.
  • It’s been a long hard day at the office.   Grab yourself a Scotch and Coke, turn on the showoff lights (yes you deserve to be a future millionaire) and raise your toast to the joy of ambient lighting and relaxation, secure in the knowledge that you’re well on your way to the success you deserve.
  • Top Shelf Spirits Light.   After a few drinks, you’d swear there was a magic genie in there.   Well perhaps not a genie but definitely liquid light magic.   Then Dream of Jeannie… Glasses and Wine Illumination.   Showing you’re a man of the world.   A gent whose good taste extends to selecting the right glasses for serving the right savoured grapes in.   A fine wine connoisseur who knows his wines and how to store them — under subtle lighting.
  • LED Bar Light.   Because they’re LED’s, these lights ‘ll last long after the drinks are gone and the party is over.   In fact, it’s a light for a lifetime of parties!
  • In “The Bar".   To light up your favourite cocktail recipe, or just to light up your life with mellow lighting as you chill out.
  • Pies and Stubbies.   A sane bar lighting choice for the insane supporter!   “Bar, bar go pies.   Have you any beer?   Yessir, yessir, three eskies full.   A Stubby for the master, pie for the dame, and coldies for me mates who live down the lane..."
  • Dad’s Collingwood light on the bar shelf.   A shrine to the joys of Aussie Rules footy tradition.   A cold can and your favourite team.
  • Highlight your prized possession with fabulous LED bar mood lights.

And so the uses go on and on and on. c D–Lights in the Bar — versatile, unique and unbelievably special…
